Braintree Art Society
Meets fortnightly on Tuesdays, September – May, 7.30 – 9.30pm
Meetings include professional demonstrations as well as workshops led by members
At St.Peters in the Fields Church Hall, Braintree.
Also painting days at various outdoor venues during the summer

Braintree Community Art Group
Classes held every Friday during term time, 10.00am – 12.30pm, & 1 – 3pm.
A programme of various courses, each lasting 6 or 7 weeks, with different teachers
and subject matter am and pm. All levels of ability welcome.

car park)
Pay as you go, £4 per morning, £3.50 per afternoon, or £7 all
day

the Herb Garden café, next door to Braintree District Museum in

Over 200 works by local artists to view and/or buy. Small admission charge
in aid of local charities. Submissions from non members welcomed – small

Halstead Arts Group
Meets on Monday evenings, 7 – 9pm (except bank holidays)
A friendly group offering mutual support and advice, and working in a variety
of media, with informal demonstrations and talks by members.
At the Senior Citizens’ Dining Room, Halstead.
Annual subscription:£5, plus £1.50 per meeting.

Annual members’ exhibition at St.Andrews Church
Hall, Parsonage Street, Halstead, August 30th & 31st, 10 – 5,
including a themed section of paintings entitled ‘ Halstead’.
Kelvedon and Feering Art Group
Meets Thursdays, 7.30 – 9.30pm
At Feering Community Centre, Coggeshall Road, Feering
The Society has been in existence for 18 years, and provides a place for people
with an interest in art to meet and encourage one another. Members work in whatever
medium they prefer, and a varied programme is arranged, including demonstrations
by professional artists.

An annual exhibition is held at the Feering Community
Centre, and is supported by artists from all over Essex, with over 400
paintings being hung. Dates for 2008: 18th & 19th September. Submissions

At Witham Community Centre, Spring Lodge, Chipping Hill, Witham
To paint, draw and explore art.
