Braintree District Arts Music Sector

Braintree District Arts Music Sector has been running its series of popular Lunchtime Recitals since 1993 in Braintree and 1996 in Witham The are informal concerts featuring professional and semi professional artistes, from singers to instrumentalists, and take place from 1.00 p.m. to 2.00 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month at Witham United Reformed Church, Newland Street Witham and on the third Wednesday at Christ Church, London Road, Braintree. Refreshments are available at both venues and donations are requested (suggested minimum £2).

F7 Festival Concert Saturday 19th July 2008
As part of Braintree District Arts’ F7 Arts Festival, the Music Sector presents a Festival concert on Saturday 19th July at 7.30 p.m. at Christ Church, Braintree, showcasing the talents of several of its affiliated Music groups from across the District.

Let’s Make Music 24-25th July
For children from 7 – 16 years Braintree District Arts provides two days of music making with “let’s Make Music” on Thursday and Friday 24th and 25th July from 10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. at The John Bramston School, Spinks Lane, Witham.

Thursday 24th July - Singing Day with Susannah Edom and Simon Harvey teaching songs from “Joseph”

Friday 25th July “Jazz it up” with Hans Montanana and a team of tutors (all instruments and levels welcome)

Concert for parents and friends at 4 p.m. on each day.
Cost £10.00 per child per day (£9.00 for extra siblings)
